Market Development FUNDING

September 9, 2010 Issue 4, Marketing, Special Interest No Comments
Current funding effective from April 1, 2010 – March 31, 2011

Attention all farmers, farmers’ markets, farm markets, and agricultural commodity/marketing boards [others may also be considered upon special request]. Under the Buy PEI Initiative, the provincial government is funding the Agri-Food Market Development Program.

Website development can be funded at 50% up to $4,000. The only requirement is that participants include the PEI Flavours logo on their website and use their website to promote products sold on PEI.

Other marketing costs (up to $4,000) that are covered with this program are:

design and printing (ie: brochures, posters, banners, maps, recipes, farm profiles, and related materials)

media advertising (ie: print, television, and digital signage advertising)

costs associated with demonstrations (ie: tradeshow materials and signage)

The funding provided to participants in this program will assist in the development of promotional material designed to enhance the marketing of Prince Edward Island agri-food products; as well as encourage farmers and markets to work together to develop and promote Prince Edward Island agri-food products.
